A Blast of Creativity

What are some of the traits found in all human beings? If one of your guesses was creativity, then you’ve hit the nail on the head. What is creativity and why is it so inportant?

A casual Google search leads me to find that creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. it is used in problem-solving, communicating with others and of course entertaining ourselves. It leads us to create better, faster and even more efficient in nearly every field of work, and is extremely important in jobs that deal with technology, innovation and the arts.

When God made Adam and Eve, he made them in his own likeness. This included the ability to create. While they didn’t have the same creative power as God, it was still pretty powerful. It still remained powerful even after the corruption of sin.

The tower of Babel while it was made for the wrong reasons, was still a remarkable feat of humanity. Creativity was essential to build such a structure. The pyramids of Egypt, one of the greatest works humanity has made. (Not built by aliens) The Greek and then Roman cities and their intricate layouts. The Great Wall of China, the colorful Forbidden City and the Potala Palace, one of the highest palaces in the world. The powerful cities of ancient South America with such innovations as farming on hills. All these required great creativity to be built.

Creativity in the modern age has brought us some of the most innovative structures ever to be built. The Sydney Opera house, The Gardens by The Bay, a park pleasing to the eye, with man-made structures covered in plants along with photovoltaic cells that generate solar energy. The Galaxy Soho building, a building that would fit right in had it been next to series of hills covered in snow. These are a few of the most creative projects of all time, and people are still coming up with even more creative ideas.

Creativity helps to advance humanities knowledge of everything and how we go about doing it. It is something that we as race are unique for, being the only race made in God’s image. So start using that creative outlet and make something incredible.
